ECOS provides urban youth grades 4th - 8th with weekly outdoor and activity-based nature programming that connects them to nature in their own communities. The ECOS program includes hikes, bird watching, identification of native trees and plants, nature art projects and more, combined with social and emotional learning, mindfulness and journaling.
ECOS is offered on Saturdays during the school year at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, near 47th and Troost and at Lakeside Nature Center in Swope Park.
Saturdays: September 18 and November 20
Grades 4-5 meet at 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Grades 6-8 meet at 1-3 p.m.

This FREE program allows for young people to spend time in nature and allows their parents or guardians to have some me-time too! Both are especially important now.
