100 Neighbors | 10 Service Projects | 1 Clean Waldo
The Waldo Tower Neighborhood is looking for service projects that we can work on for the Waldo Serve Day being planned for September 8th.
We have had a couple of requests from elderly or disabled neighbors who need some minor work done like raking, caulking windows or painting done in or around their house and we'd love to know if there are any more out there.
If you or someone you know has a need like this that we can fill and September 8th works for you, please contact us.
Likewise, if you are interested in volunteering with us, we will begin after 11am. Other projects are being planned for different times that day with different groups. The information that was sent to us is copied below:
Volunteer with your community as we complete 10+ service projects in one morning! We will eat breakfast, serve, and celebrate our work together. All volunteers will get a great t-shirt free if registered by August 31!
Here's how it will work:
8:00-9:00: Join us for breakfast. If you don't want breakfast - no problem - just join us at HJ's by 845 so we can get you registered and with your project team.
9-9:30: Team leaders will share some important details about the day before heading out to your project site.
9:30 - 11:30: Own your project and serve Waldo!
12:00-2:00: Head back to HJs and hang out with your neighbors over lunch and receive a goody bag with your free Waldo Serve Day t-shirt!
